Why Temperature Matters for Automation

An AC remote set to 24°C does not mean your room is at 24°C. The AC’s sensor is inside the indoor unit, near the ceiling, where air is warmer. The actual temperature where you sit could be 2–4 degrees different. The Sensor Hub measures temperature at device level — closer to where you actually are in the room.

Setting up the living room for a movie requires 6–8 individual actions: main light off, accent light dimmed, fan speed adjusted, AC on, TV on, set-top box on, curtains closed. One tap on “Movie Mode” does all of it. An NFC tag on the sofa armrest lets you trigger it by tapping your phone — without opening the app. A physical switch on the living room panel can also be assigned to run the scene.

In Indian summers (March–June), afternoons hit 42–45°C. A routine at 12:30 PM closes all curtains and turns ACs on at 24°C via IR — before peak heat hits.
