What is the difference between Vihan and Roma touch switch
Functionally identical — same specs, same features, same touch switch price. VPro uses Vihan locking. RPro uses ROMA locking support most other Indian brands). Choose the touch switch based on your existing plate format.
Can I put smart and normal switch modules in the same plate?
Yes. Combine the Beakn smart touch switch with normal switches or any ROMA/Vihan compatible mechanisms in the same touch switch board plate. Only Beakn touch switch modules get smart features. Add smart control gradually — one touch switch at a time.
Do I need to change my wiring?
No. The module connects to your existing live, load, and neutral wires. No new wiring is needed. A regular electrician can install it in 10 minutes.
Connectivity
How long does a touch switch last?
Every Beakn touch switch is tested for 100,000 switching cycles. At 20 uses per day, that is over 13 years of daily use. The capacitive touch switch has no mechanical parts that wear out — unlike traditional rocker switches that degrade over time.
What happens if my WiFi goes down?
The physical switches function normally. If you’re connected to the same local WiFi network, app control is also available. Timers and schedules that have been programmed in advance will continue to operate from the cloud. However, remote access (controlling from outside your home) requires an internet connection.
Can this handle my 1.5-ton AC?
Yes. The modular touch switch HD 25A rated for 1800W resistive load. A 1.5-ton AC typically draws 7–10A, well within capacity.

Is it safe? What about electrical shocks?
The module uses an isolated SMPS power supply — input and output circuits are electrically separated. Even if you touch the output terminal, the isolation prevents shock. Built-in surge protection up to 4KV protects both the module and your appliances from voltage spikes.
