The Beakn curtain motor is a WiFi-native motorised curtain drive that mounts onto a custom-cut track to open and close residential curtains via the Beakn app, Alexa, Google Home, Siri, the included RF remote, or a gentle manual pull. It supports curtains weighing up to 100 kg, runs at 2 Nm torque on a 100–240V wide-voltage input, and remembers open and close limits even after a power cut. Track length is cut to your window — 3 metres, 5 metres, 7 metres, or any custom length. Installation across Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vizag, and Vijayawada is handled by a Beakn-trained installer. Five-year warranty covers the motor, track, and accessories.

One Controller Works on Curtains, Blinds, Gates, and More
The Beakn Pulse/Curtain Controller is a separate retrofit module that converts almost any pulse-operated motor into a smart device controlled by the Beakn app. One small pulse opens the motor; another pulse closes it. That is the only requirement. This means the same controller works across multiple categories of motorised products in your home:

Motor manufacturers use different wiring conventions — some motors are wired in a 4-wire system, others in a 5-wire system. The Pulse/Curtain Controller has relays built to support both configurations physically; you do not need to buy a different SKU for a different motor type. To set it up: open the Pulse Switch in the Beakn app, go to Settings → Additional Settings, and select the wiring mode that matches your motor’s diagram.
Curtain motor installation is precision work — bracket alignment, track levelling, motor coupling, limit setting, and app pairing. Beakn ships the kit; installation is handled by an independent Beakn-trained installer in your city. The installer charges ₹1,000 per curtain, paid directly to them on the day. Beakn does not bundle installation into the product price because installation pricing varies by site (wall type, height, civil work needed) and the installer is in the best position to assess on arrival.

For reference, a typical 8-foot bedroom curtain in cotton-polyester weighs 4–7 kg; a 12-foot living room curtain with blackout lining weighs 12–18 kg; a 20-foot French window with double-layer thermal drapery rarely exceeds 35 kg. The 100 kg ceiling exists so the motor never operates at peak load, which is what extends its operational life across the 5-year warranty period.
No. The Beakn curtain motor has built-in WiFi and pairs directly to the Beakn app over your home’s 2.4 GHz WiFi network — no Zigbee bridge, no Z-Wave hub, no separate controller. It connects to the same Beakn app that runs your Beakn smart switches, smart plugs, IR blasters, sensors, and energy monitors. If you already own a non-smart RF curtain motor from another brand and want to convert it to app-controlled, the separate Beakn Pulse/Curtain Controller is the right product — but it is not needed when you buy a Beakn curtain motor.
Standard track lengths are 3 metres, 5 metres, and 7 metres — chosen because these cover most Indian bedroom, living room, and full-wall French window applications respectively. Custom lengths between or beyond these standards are made to order — share your window measurement and the team will cut the track accordingly. Both single-side draw and centre-open configurations are supported. Curved tracks for bay windows, 90-degree corners, and curved walls are available on request with the floor plan.
Installation is ₹1,000 per curtain, paid directly to the Beakn-trained installer on the day of installation. Beakn does not bundle installation into the product price. Yes — partially. The RF remote that ships in the box keeps working regardless of WiFi or internet status. If you have added a Beakn Curtain Touch wall switch, that also keeps working over the local Beakn network. Manual pull on the curtain (where pulling 5–10 cm activates the motor) also works without WiFi. What pauses during an outage: scheduled automations and voice commands. Once your WiFi reconnects, schedules resume from the next trigger point.
Five years on the motor, the track, the runners, the brackets, and the RF remote — the entire kit. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover installation issues (which are handled separately by the installer), physical damage, water damage, or voltage damage from extreme power surges.
